Egyptian Vegetarian Foods

This September 2011, I am planning to feature vegetarian food from all over the world. It’s like I am traveling with foods. I will also feature some great places to have a vacation in my travel blog so to sync with my food blog. Ain’t that exciting to blog? What do you think?

Anyway, I will start my food travel now. Let’s start with Egypt.

Don’t you know that Egypt is one of the places which offers a great healthy foodies to vegetarians? Yes! It’s a fact! Egyptians are well – known for their vegetarian spices mixed to their foods. Some of which are the most common onions, garlic, and a lot more. One of the popular dishes in Egypt is the mashed fava beans or the so-called Ful Madames. I haven’t tried this dish myself but I guess it’s looking yummy and mouth-watering.

Aside from foodies to burp in Egypt, a very worth-staying vacation and holiday resorts and beaches are also good thing to check by where healthy vegetarian foods are present. One of the relaxing spots to visit is at Sharm El Sheikh holidays. The place provides a very peaceful-ambiance to relax and de-stress.  Vegetarian foods are offered in some affordable and cosy restaurants while in beaches, scuba diving and other water sports events can be done.

This is just a sneak peak for some vegetarian foods in Egypt. I will try to post here some of the recipes of yummy vegetarian Egyptian foods soon.
