Lemon Grass Juice

How many times have you heard of lemon grass juice? Have you tried sipping one?

Lemon grass juice is not as often prepared as orange juices are. It doesn’t taste as refreshing, for me, as other juices do. For me, it is more of a soup dish when I first tried it and even said to myself not to try drinking again.

However, when I had my vacation last month in our farm town in the province, that one that I shared that I have had to lurk for cheap holidays packages but I failed, my friend from the province shared to me her lemon grass juice preparations. But with my previous impressions with the juice that is not so good, I refuse to try her juice. but I didn’t tell her my very reason why I didn’t.

Banana Leaf Plates

I love to dine out! Aside from the fact of having a lot of choices of foods when dining out, it’s hassle-less for me in preparing foods and keeping the kitchen in place after eating.

One of the restaurant that I keep on coming back just to eat is the Banana Leaf in Ayala Center Cebu. Their food are really like strangers to hear but when tried and tasted, very delicious.

But as much as my tummy calls, I still can’t eat rightfully using the literal banana leaf when eating.

Though using the real literal banana leaf as a plate is very economical and environment-friendly, I guess, I still am feeling awkward using it.

Nevertheless, banana leaf foodies are really yummy!

Crispy Chicken Thai Style

Here’s another foodie which we tried at Banana Leaf in Ayala Center Cebu aside from the Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken and Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables with Salted Fish Thai Style. This is the Crispy Chicken Thai Style. Correct me if I’m wrong or I named this foodie wrongly. I just forgot, I’m not sure again with the name.

One thing which I like with Thai foods is the spicy worth-another-cup-of-rice. The food is indeed spicy, though, but still preserving such distinct taste of the food. Its spiciness never alters the yummy taste of the food.

This Crispy Chicken Thai Style made me burped louder than usual. *burrp..Excuse Me!*

Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken

I have here another rice foodie preparation that I have tried at the Banana Leaf restaurant in Ayala Center Cebu last week. Aside from the Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables with Salted Fish Thai Style that I ordered, I suggested this Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken for my classmates. And, honestly, since it’s sounding new to us, we ordered this rice instead of just plain rice.

As its name implied, it’s really salty. Fried rice, as I have known, are tasting more differently than the plain rice. And usually, fried rice are already salty. But with this Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken of Banana Leaf Restaurant, the rice became more salty because of the salted fish mixed to it.

But overall, the rice is still yummy! Hope you can try that one guys! Happy Yummy Sunday!
